4th snow day in a row. The natives are restless. The air outside is -43 with the wind chill. No sledding today.
Lessons From The Warmth Of Your Living Room
No, your Band Director is not coming to your house to give you a lesson. They are at home drinking an entire pot of coffee, while trying to recover rehearsal plans from the past week. BUT, you can still practice. You can still receive high quality instruction on your instrument. All you need is your instrument, computer (or ipad, ipod, iphone, ianything) and an internet connection.

There are SO many free resources out there as instrumentalists. YouTube is a great way to “learn from the pros” from the comfort of your home. Now, some of the videos you find on YouTube are not professional musicians. Be careful what you use in your practice sessions. If you have any doubts on techniques learned from online sources, make sure you consult your band director.
