No school. It's Saturday. Sophie woke up this morning and wanted to go to school. Um, no. Mommy needs a break. Drank an entire pot of coffee by 9:30 am. Did some trombone playing. Only a few minutes; checking out an app for my students to use next week when things move online. We still don't have a plan per our district, but hopefully something will be emailed to us on Sunday.
Liking this app. It's called Acapella. Fairly easy to use, a bit glitchy, but I'm just running the free version. I'm sure if I upgraded, it would run better. For right now, free is good enough for me. I think our students will use this for some collaboration and musicianship skills.
Took the little one on a hike today. The nature trail was a bit muddy, so we were forced to stop halfway and turn around. The fresh air was so nice. Wish it was a bit warmer, but with warmth comes more mud, so it can stay 40 degrees for awhile.
After our hike, we drove to Chick-fil-a (the drive thru, don't worry). Chick-fil-a was one of the "nouns" Sophie kept repeating during "school" last week. I didn't want to be at home, so I welcomed the drive into town.
We picked up our drinks and french fries and went to an empty parking lot adjacent from Chick-fil-a. Decided a tailgate party was a must.
Happy social distancing, y'all. Gonna go sit in my driveway and pretend it's warm outside.
